If there’s one person I am too thankful and grateful for…
If there’s one person of whom I’m troubling too much in my life…
If there’s one person who gives in her best to ensure I receive the best…
It’s my mum.
I knew they were coming, we sort of discussed it to arrive here.. but all that I have troubled my mum to get them from Singapore to Switzerland.. now that I think about them, I’m feeling a tinge of guilty. Having to trouble her to buy all the food that I/we are missing so badly even though we no longer have the auto which also means she’d have to make more mini trips (because she can’t carry so many things at one go)…
I finally received them just yesterday and I know it’s all worth it, because the happiness I was feeling at that point in time.. you know how there’s this expression about “Sometimes when happiness is overflowing. Past disappears and there are no worries about future.”, apparently my happiness was indeed overflowing, but i ended up thinking so much about the past and future. It was one of those nights that I thought waaaay too much for my own preference.
Yet another 2 boxes of…

First off, so happy to see wanton mee and chicken rice shirts! All ready for Fete Universelle!
Fete Universelle’s this school event where all the nationalities will feature their local culture and cuisine all around the school. We’re supposed to feature 1 savoury dish, 1 sweet dish aka dessert, 1 local drink, 1 alcoholic local drink! Aside from that, we’ve got the budget to decorate our booth and definitely hop around the stands to try different cuisines and get to know slightly more about other cultures! Us the Singaporeans and Malaysians can’t wait to feature our (insert dishes/drinks) here in November!
So I had mum to send me these because we want to wear them at Fete Uni (since we don’t really have any national costume/wear) and we’d most probably clash with the other Asian countries if we do wear the traditional costumes.

FOOD, FOOD AND MORE FOOD.
We don’t have a kitchen here unfortunately, which is why we realised the wonders a Microwave can do, here.

I’m not even a fan of Sambal Chilli but seeing this just drove me crazy. Anyway I shall learn to enjoy it with my Nasi Lemak!

Seaweed seasoning with my white rice.. I love this so much!

Beh Teh Sor – Biscuits with cameralised shallot filling

So now the 2 boxes on the left = food, the 1 box on the right = winter clothes! Thank you so much mummy, I cannot thank you enough for this.

Let’s see.. we might most probably be having some good Asian food on Sunday nights now! Yiiipppeeeee!! Can’t wait to share these with my fellow Singaporeans/Asian friends here too
Note: As I’m writing this.. let’s check the time, it’s 4AM. I just woke up at 3AM from my sleep which started at 9PM.. now this body clock is so upside down. If I ever do return to Singapore, I might just sleep the whole day off.
And there’s going to be Daylight savings soon! Now, we don’t have that in Singapore! Excited!
