Hatched/ Strictly Pancakes

Standard

Been wanting to try Hatched since eons ago, especially because yours truly here is an egg egg egg fan!

They’ve got a really cute handy menu with all the characters they’ve created!

We didn’t make any reservations (Well, I tried calling at 10am in the morning to book for 12nn but apparently they are fully-booked) Now we’ve learnt our lesson, perhaps we got to call on Wednesday to book for Saturday’s brunch next time! They are thaaat popular! It’s not a huge cafe, so don’t expect many seats. Best if all of your friends are present so that they could seat all of you together at one go!

We were seated pretty soon, probably because it’s just 3 of us. But we didn’t manage to sit inside, just outside of the cafe, in the lobby of Evans Lodge.

We went in to have a peek! The owner of Hatched is really friendly and kept asking us not to be shy, even apologised that he couldn’t give us the chance to sit inside, perhaps next time!

Carol’s Oozy Baked Egg came and she’s happy!

Oozy Baked Egg: Eggs baked with bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, with a thick layer of cheese oozing on the top.

Vicky’s Sir Benedict came and she’s happy too!

Sir Benedict: Classic breakfast favourite of half an English muffin, with bacon, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce, served with homemade mash.

Shinn’s Smoked Royale came and she’s happy three!

Smoked Royale: Half an English muffin topped with Norwegian smoked salmon, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce, served with homemade mash.

We were all even happier after gobbling down our dishes of eggs! It was gooooooood!

Service was pretty pleasant as well, everyone had a great smile and were more than willing to assist us in any way!

Just so you know, they’ve got a really adorable website I love to visit whenever I’m feeling down!

Next up, we were being such foodiefreaks, we wanted something sweet so off we went to Strictly Pancakes!

The menu was presented to us!

Carol’s Banana Scotched came!

I guess this one was good because Carol licked the entire plate till it’s sparkling clean!

Vicky’s Blackforest came!

It was prettily presented but I guess too much of the chocolate got a little sick in the mouth!

Shinn’s Garlic Buttered Prawn came!

This was totally filled with Garlic, I wanted to try how a savoury pancake would taste like and got greedy when I saw ‘prawns’, I guess it could do if I weren’t that full after all.

Trying to take a photo with that ‘Strictly Pancakes’ signboard at the back…

Ah! Got it! We came here to Strictly Pancakes!

Today was great! I had fun eating at these 2 places which I’ve not been before so yay for crossing out 2 cafes/restaurants out of my foodiefreak list again! :)
