Food For Thought/ Red Pig Korean Restaurant BBQ

Foodiefreak for life, really.

I started off the week well with great food and guess what, I ended the week with even greater food.

Trish, Lya and myself went to try Food For Thought at Queen Street (Singapore Art Museum 8Q). For its review at Hungrygowhere and Ladyironchef if you would like to have a preview of how its like.

We gladly preferred the ambience and space at Queen Street though the one at North Bridge Road looked rather cosy as well.

Waited for quite a while because of the lunch crowd! Remember to make your reservation just in case.

Well, we placed our order and waited for quite a long time, thinking that our food most probably were prepared right from the beginning. Asked about it and it ended up being miscommunication, order was not sent to the kitchen! Food came in nearly 10 minutes’ time upon our reminder for them and say yay for the hungry us!

Pepper & Thyme Fries arrived first!

Lya ordered the Sze Chuan Chicken sandwich!

Trish ordered Seafood (Calamari, Prawns) Linguine!

I ordered Brocolli & Bacon Risotto. A pity I did not feel like having pasta at that time, wish I did since Food For Thought’s known for being able to mix and match our own pasta and its sauce etc.

Aaaaand we ate too much we couldn’t fit in anymore desserts :-( We shall try that the next time, if for desserts I wouldn’t mind trying it at North Bridge Road though! Next time next time!

Once again if you’d like its review, it’s here at Hungrygowhere.

We’ve been craving for Korean BBQ since eons ago and we finally got to meet up, too caught up with work and school and here we are enjoying ourselves here together. They use the original charcoal to do BBQ-ing and please be prepared to enter the smoky restaurant and be out with your clothes smelling like you’re being bbq-ed.

We ordered Samgyupsal (Pork), Red Chicken (A lil spicy), Dukbokki (Ricecakes), Haemul Pajeon (Seafood pancakes) and of course with the side dishes such as kimchi, tofu, omelette and cream corn! A little overpriced here and there, but it’s really worth that one try – possibly it might not be your one and only try and you see yourself coming back too often for your preference! ;)

Not your luxurious Korean restaurant, just a simply decorated cosy must-visit place for Korean BBQ on charcoal.

Side dishes, welcome to my table!

Kimchi

Omelette

Tofu

Sauces

Getting ready for our Samgyupsal (Grilled Pork Strips) literally 3-layered meat or known as 三层肉.

I think in life, I totally live for the existence of Samgyupsal, they were so delicious!

Chicken & Red Chicken

I didn’t know Dukbokki (Spicy rice cakes) were that awesome!

Their Haemul Pajeon (Seafood pancake) were crispy and chewy too!

With Lya, Junshen and Pei Jun at Red Pig Korean Restaurant BBQ!

Happy food with great company, as usual.

About madeofballoons

I like colours because they smile at me like how I'd smile to them in the end, I love watching the clouds in the sky imagining they are various life objects, I love photography - visuals are most probably one of the most important type of memories I'd love to have for keepsake. Wait, I love eating too, it's the kind of unexplainable joy it gives me. Come on, let's all be happy, we're still young!
